This ride is suitable for quicker and more experienced riders who don’t mind some steep climbs. Ride from Mur’bah along Queensland Rd to the tick gates at Tomewin and then along Glengarry Rd and via Carool to Bilambil. Return home via Hogan’s and Dulguigan Rd. Ride should take about 4 hours, including a stop for refreshments in Bilambil. PEDAL TO THE PACIFIC Depart from Nullum St near Duck Pond, Knox Park, Murwillumbah. 50 kms – MEDIUM/HARD – some hills – short gravel section on Reserve Creek Rd. Ride from Murwillumbah across Clothier’s Creek Rd to Bogangar and then along the cycle path to Hastings Point. Stop for a swim/drink and return home via Reserve Creek Road. DOING THE FLATS Depart Knox Park from near Duck Pond in Nullum St. 35 kms – EASY – mostly flat – small section of gravel road. Ride from Murwillumbah to Tumbulgum via Eviron, Saunders & Bartlett’s Rd and return via Dulguigan Rd. DOING THE HILLS Depart Knox Park from near Duck Pond in Nullum St. 47 kms – MEDIUM/HARD –hills – small section of gravel. Suitable for quicker and more experienced riders who would like the challenge of some beautiful hills. Ride from Mur’bah via Urliup Rd to Bilambil and then to Terranora before descending to Tumbulgum via McAuley’s Rd. Return to Mur’bah via Dulguigan Rd. LEADERLESS WEDNESDAY RIDES Departing 6am sharp every Wednesday from the picnic tables on Nullum St side of Duck Pond No registrations or ride leaders for this one, so please be self-sufficient Get there early if you'd like a say in the route for the day Depending on turnout, we may choose to split in two for longer/shorter or faster/slower rides. Some weekday workers are on a schedule, so "if you snooze, you lose!" FAMILY RAMBLE An easy, mostly flat ride with minimal traffic to the end of Brook's Rd and back (approximately 16km). Great for kids, tandems and trailers. UKI MARKET MORNING RIDE – Uki Market is held on the third Sunday of the Month A moderately paced ride with some big hills, approximately 40km. Bakers Rd and Kyogle Rd Road to the Uki Market (with an hour stopover there) Return via Smiths Ck Rd to Stokers and then via the back road to Murwillumbah Suggested you bring your swimmers for a dip somewhere along the way Panniers are useful if you want to go shopping at the market CRYSTAL CREEK CAFÉ CRUISE Depart Knox Park 35 kms – EASY – mostly flat – all sealed. Murwillumbah to Upper Crystal Creek and return with coffee stop at Crystal Creek. TO MARKET, TO MARKET Depart Knox Park 32 kms – EASY – mostly flat – all sealed. Murwillumbah to Chillingham markets (stop) and return. TOUR DE TYALGUM Depart Knox Park 54 kms – MEDIUM – some hills – all sealed. Ride via Art Gallery to Tyalgum, Chillingham markets (stop) and return on Chillingham Rd. VIEWS OF MUR’BAH Depart Knox Park 36 kms – MEDIUM – some hills – all sealed. To ‘top’ of hill past Kielvale, then return to Wardrop Valley Road. Ride to end of Smart’s Road then back to Mur’bah for coffee. | |
